No time for Spa? Read on!

Hey there readers!!

Been trying a lot of new things lately and the product rather two products I’m going to share with you right now are something I had in my wish-list for a long time but I’ve been too lazy to order anything online, sounds weird though, anyways here a picture.

I’ve rarely come across something that suits my skin (it is combination, mostly dry and prone to allergies) so I have to go through a tough process to try something out, whatever I try reacts on my skin, sometimes it is only zits, sometimes red patches and sometime the product causes major breakouts so it is quite painful. In Lahore’s humid weather things get worse! So these two tiny bottles are surprisingly very good for my skin, I thoroughly read the reviews before I placed an order and took two whole days to make up my mind if I should or if I shouldn’t get them because I really don’t want another of somethings lying uselessly around my space.

Moisturizers are very important even if your skin is super oily or the weather is extremely humid, this Youthful Glow Serum from Spa in a Bottle turned out to be just great, I have been using it for two weeks and my skin feels softer in the morning when I wash my face and the texture is slightly better, can’t say a lot since it has only been two weeks. I love the bottle, love the minimalist branding, and the product costs Rs. 600/- which is great.

The next product I am using for my dark circles (I am a night person can’t completely get rid of them) is the Under-eye Serum, this serum is for puffiness around the eyes as well as for the dark circles. It is working great as well, the first time around I had slightly swollen under eye area after a few hours of use, but I could see a visible improvement from the very next day.

I love how the containers for both the products help you get the exact amount of product you need.

I only use about one drop of the Youthful Glow Serum before bed time and less than one drop of the Under-eye serum, spread it on the back of my hand, pick up the product with my ring finger and then lightly rub in the under-eye area. This quantity is just perfect for me since slightly more of it will make my skin super greasy in this weather.

Here is a summary of the featured product:

Brand: Spa in a Bottle

Product 1: Youthful Glow Serum, price Rs. 600/- (25 ml, use withing 6-8 months, preferably used at night before bed time)

Product 2: the Under-eye Serum, price Rs. 400/- (5 ml, use within 6 months)

You can purchase the product directly through their Facebook page by clicking here.

Although I might continue using them and would love to try more of their products, I would recommend that you go through their reviews on the page and take your time in deciding which product should suit you best.

Have you tried any of their products and would recommend anything else? Let me know in the comments!

Khaadi Winter collection – A frenzy of prints! + store review

Khaadi launched their winter collection today and me being a Khaadi fan I decided to cover the launch for my blog, and review their store. The store I chose to cover is located on MM Alam Road, Lahore.

Khaadi winter collection this year is really a frenzy of prints, the prints are absolutely gorgeous with plenty of fabric option available. First let’s have a look at the launch, the madness of crowd, oh how people were loving the clothes!

IMG_9368 IMG_9370 IMG_9371 IMG_9372 IMG_9375

Their winter/khaddar collection in my opinion is worth all the hype, there is a huge variety from basics that includes shirt shalwar fabric or shirt shawl which is awesome. Then there are three piece dresses, embroidered ensembles and plenty more. I did find a few lawn print repetitions but I don’t mind as long as those lawns were bestsellers and were gone before you could order them. I actually looked for one of their prints in three malls in Islamabad with a dear friend and in my own city Lahore, so yea, no issues with such prints, plus the repetition was not very obvious or perhaps it wasn’t even intentional.

Khaddar shirt shalwars: PKR 1600/- and dupatta shirts: PKR 1900/- There’s one dress in here that I bought today at the launch 🙂

So you see, you can actually get each one of these dresses without having to worry about them being monotonous, in fact I am finding it hard to decide which ones to take or leave. They are simply gorgeous, and this was one winter collection I have been looking forward to, and it was worth all the wait. Theirs is probably the best winter collection so far.I would suggest ladies to grab the prints if you do not want to wander around like me later!

Apart from their awesome clothes, their new jewellery too is pretty good, the handmade, old, rustic earrings, rings and necklaces were a sight!

It is impossible that you visit one of their stores and apart from their brilliant designs, you don’t fall in love with their interior. The place have been beautifully designed with no single corner left abandoned. They have this eye to details which is maybe why they have recently gotten into home decor, by launching a proper home store. IMG_9381 IMG_9390 IMG_9397 IMG_9401 IMG_9402 IMG_9404 IMG_9398

Cool right? unfortunately they didn’t have a display of the beds, sofas and those ottomans even though I think space is not an issue for them, the home decor area was not properly lit under the shelves, some of the cushion pictures were so dark I couldn’t include them. The area was huge but there could’ve been more lighting, furniture and a display somewhere in the center. The prices of their home decor products are not very high, you can get a nice dinning table set up under PKR 3000/- which will include a table runner, place mats and coasters, but I really really wanted to see some creative coffee table decor down there, those vintage tea sets or something at least, I do understand that this one wasn’t a proper home store but I wanted to be tempted enough to go to fortress square mall right away and get some home stuff plus they have all the space for that so why not.

Initially as a teenager I had only known Khaadi for their pret and loved their bags, and they will always be my favorite! IMG_9393 IMG_9394 IMG_9395

And in the end here’s what I got for me! I had not plans to shop but I couldn’t have risked not buying that print I’ve been eyeing since the first teaser went online 🙂 I hope you loved the trip to Khaadi and the post on the whole!

I’d love to know what you bought!

Gearing up for winters – Bonanza Unstitched Cambric (Pink Blush)

Bonanza Unstitched Cambric collection is love at first sight, I love the brand for it’s affordability, wide range of prints and plenty of options for unstitched fabric. I usually prefer single shirts over a complete ensemble because you can try and experiment a lot with it, think out of the box and pair it up with a different colored dupatta and lowers than what is shown in the catalogs, which is not an option if you get a complete suit. Apart from that, I love their fabric!

My Purchase:

I got myself this pretty single shirt which comes with an embroidered patch (gala) and I absolutely love it. I got the shirt for PKR 1680/- and later on my way back I got a pretty tie n dye dupatta from my local market for PKR 200/- . You can shop this shirt from Bonanza online, they ship free nationwide and have a quick and friendly customer service.

I hope you love what I bought, have you started shopping for this weather yet? I’d love to know.

Love,

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter – Second review

Hello readers,

Hope you all must be doing great and keeping away from flu and cold. Do protect yourself from the harsh dryness and stay hydrated inside out, you do need water in winter too! Today, once again, I am reviewing The Body Shop’s Shea Body Butter. If you have read my earlier posts, you must be knowing I am a huge fan of The Body Shop’s skin care range, out of which Shea Body Butter being my absolute favorite product they have come up with.

I am addicted to this product ever since I have been introduced to it which is roughly 5 years (yes!) and I have switched to a couple of products during that period and have always come back to it. The smooth texture absorbs deep into dry skin and hydrates it immediately, with regular use there is an obvious improvement in skin texture very soon. The product may not be very fruitful in any other weather except winters and that is a drawback, because if you own a 200ml jar which expires in 12 months after opening, you will have to consume it in an average 4-5 months because that is how long winter usually lasts in the area I live in. I still purchase it over and over again, and from my experience, if you are careful and you close the lid properly it may last up to 18+ months, it works for me!

Price and availability:

A 200ml jar in The Body Shop outlets here in Pakistan costs PKR 2000+

I have bought this Jumbo 300ml jar from Lush Grooming Bargains  for 1400!

I have shopped from Lush Grooming Bargains before and the order arrives in time, the person behind is a very sweet girl. They take pre orders too, do check them out!

The Body Shop’s Shea Body Butter is available at The Body Shop outlets nationwide.

Hope you enjoyed the post and I hope it benefits you!

Have you tried TBS Shea Body Butter? Let me know your experience!

Review: L’Oreal Studio Line Hot Straight Cream

Review: L’Oreal Studio Line Hot Straight Cream

Size: 150ml

Price: 375/- Pkrs

They Say: Straight to perfection with protection! Hot Straight Cream from Studio Line is specially developed for use with straightening irons and hairdryers.
It makes straightening easier, gives a silky and long lasting result, whilst also helping to protect the hair.

Purchased from: Raja Sahib,Liberty,Lahore.

What I think: I’m not a very big fan of using a lot of hair products, never dyed/colored my hair so yes my hair are mostly neglected. I am BUT a lot into ironing and curling my hair and saw this product at the store and because of the reasonable price,I picked it up. I really needed some hair product that protects my hair from the heat. The lotion/cream smells good (unlike any other straightening products). I poured a little amount on my palm after shampooing and towel drying my hair, and rubbed it in my hair thoroughly. Brushed my hair and dried using a hair dryer while running the brush thoroughly from the root till the end (very softly!!). Once I was done with drying, the hair looked straight already! I loved it 😀 then I started ironing my hair strand after strand and the result was flawless! my hair were as if I’ve just got done with some expensive hair straightening treatment. I do have a problem with how my hair started feeling oily the next day (which doesn’t happen otherwise) but I wouldn’t mind since it gave me a whole day of beautifully straight hair and heat protection and ironing becomes much easier after it’s application.

I would rate this product 9/10

And yes I would recommend it to my friends!
